In 1975 the brewery property sold and the doors of Walter’s were closed by the new owner.

 

In the early 2000s, a group of Puebloans in league with the Walter family brought the brand back to Pueblo, featuring the Walter's Original Pilsner that made Walter's the beer of choice in Southern Colorado. The collective owners continue to keep in touch with the Walter family with knowledge shared from the last Walter's-Eau Claire Brewmaster, John Walter.

 

Walter's Brewery Pueblo makes Walter's Original along with beers that every generation of drinkers will appreciate--from our great city's forebearers who labored at the steel mill and in Pueblo businesses of all types; to modern craftbeer drinkers, artists, Bohemians, and bicyclists who keep Pueblo lively today.  All proof that some things never change with time and that great beer binds us all in good cheer!
